We are pleased to announce that David A. Merline Jr., along with fellow co-authors Scott Y. Barnes, Professor James R. Burkhard, and Suzanne H. Clawson, published the South Carolina Limited Liability Companies, Fifth Edition ©2020! The South Carolina Limited Liability Companies, Fifth Edition, takes a hands-on, how-to approach to forming and operating LLCs. The book provides practical insights on choosing, forming, and operating limited liability entities, valuable analysis of tax and securities issues, and most importantly, practical, easy-to-follow instructions and sample forms for preparing South Carolina LLC operating agreements.

Merline & Meacham would like to congratulate legal assistant Laura Bloodworth on her plans to attend the Georgia State University College of Law this fall. Laura intends to focus on Intellectual Property Law, working with patents, trademarks, and copyright law. She is leaving after nearly two years with the firm. Abby, a Greenville native, is a recent graduate of the Journalism and Mass Communication major from Bob Jones University. In her free time she loves to swim, lifeguard and teach swim lessons in the Greenville community. Abby also enjoys reading and staying involved in local Greenville politics.

Marie provides Merline & Meacham, PA. with expertise in estate planning and non-profit law, among other areas of practice. She has been involved with both The Community Foundation of Greenville and the Meals on Wheels Endowment. Marie and her family rescued their dog, Snerdley, in 2011.
