He is a member of the Rotary Club of Greenville and Buncombe Street United Methodist Church.

Dave and his wife, Barby, have four children – Andy (1989), Will (1992), Marshall (1995) and Darcy (1997). He enjoys tennis, fishing and water and snow skiing.
