Intern, Zach Idris, joins Merline & Meacham, P.A.
Please welcome our new intern, Zach Idris! Zach is a native of Greenville, South Carolina and recently graduated Cum Laude from Davidson College with a degree in political science (class of 2021). He was a member of the Division I football team and is an aspiring law student who plans to enroll in Fall of 2022. He is interested in pursuing a career in litigation. Outside of the office Zach enjoys working out, cooking, and watching sports, most notably Davidson Football and the Atlanta Braves.

Attorney David M. Thompson joins Merline and Meacham , P.A.
Merline & Meacham, P.A. is pleased to announce that attorney David Thompson has joined the firm. Thompson practices in the areas of taxation, estate planning, business organizations, and probate. He earned his Master in Taxation Law Degree (LL.M) from the University of California, Irvine School of Law and his Juris Doctor Degree, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
“We are thrilled to welcome David to the team of talented attorneys at the Firm,” stated David Merline, Jr. “I am confident that his experience will provide great benefit to both our clients and Merline & Meacham moving forward.”
Prior to joining Merline and Meacham, he clerked for Judge J. Cordell Maddox, Jr. in South Carolina’s 10th Judicial Circuit.
Prior to attending law school, he was a baseball player on the Anderson University baseball team. David and his wife, Sadie, enjoy spending time with their friends and family and being outdoors with their dog.

Attorney Thomas G. Sinclair joins Merline & Meacham, P.A.

Thomas practices in the areas of taxation, estate planning, trusts and estates, probate, employee benefits, pension and profit-sharing plans, partnership, limited liability company and corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and non-profit and tax-exempt organization law. He is a certified specialist in the fields of both Taxation Law and Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Supreme Court of South Carolina. Thomas is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the fields of Business Organizations (including LLCs and Partnerships), Closely Held Companies and Family Business Law (Lawyer of the Year 2021 in Greenville, South Carolina), Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law, Mergers and Acquisitions Law, Nonprofit/Charities Law, Tax Law, and Trust and Estates.
